January - March Update - 2025

But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Lk 18:16

Bible Institute at Mariato Area - Veraguas

The Mariato Bible Institute has been the focus of prayer for nearly two years. Our Lord has raised up a church that has embraced the challenge and blessing of sponsoring the Institute. This initiative aims to equip pastors and leaders from nearby towns who lack the resources to travel two hours every other day to attend a formal Bible Institute.

The first session of the Institute, which took place from January 16-18, registered 38 participants. The attendees were so encouraged by the experience that they have extended the invitation to other pastors and leaders for the following teaching session, which will take place from July 17-19.

Arraijan Churh Planting - Panama Province

“God sent you,” said the head of a family. “We had money and were happy, but fought a lot.” He explained that his oldest daughter ran away with a man because of their arguments, and his youngest daughter nearly committed suicide.

The team visited their home, providing an excellent opportunity to share God’s love and open the door for repentance and restoration, laying the foundation for discipleship.

Out of the 228 people who heard a clear presentation of the Gospel during home visits, 78 opened their hearts and minds to start understanding and growing in the Word.

Sport Camp Ministry - TBarM

God bless you, my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Today, we want to share how our March campaign went. After many, many years, we received a team of 15 people for the first time, plus 5 translators and 8 more people from the region helping with all the organization.

We were a little nervous about the group’s size, but it was achieved. Despite taking some team members to the hospital because they became ill during the campaign, God moved in very special ways.

Testimonies include married couples seeking God's guidance to handle their situations, even the simplest things like seeing children happy and listening to

God’s word.

We give thanks for the prayers. We know that prayer is a fundamental part of all this work. Check pictures here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BJf3ujlk1_vCtR_1DLowoqN0cc8vwQqb?usp=sharing

Bible Institute near the Teribe River - Nasso People Group

The Institute’s session with the Nasso group registered 22 participants and took place from January 16-18.

Updating some participants on the previous module was necessary to ensure they could continue attending the Institute. Therefore, Pastor Heitor traveled a few days earlier to help these participants get updated and ready for the sessions. It is a privilege to serve these dedicated servants, who have been partners in the field for many years. Our next gathering for the second part of the Bible Study Method module will take place from August 28-30.

Guabal Bible Institute

Practice, practice, practice was mainly emphasized in Part II of the Bible Study Method module on interpretation and application. The Guabal participants had to deal with Ngobe and Spanish, so the module had to be adjusted so they could grasp the intended meaning through practice.

Due to the rise of the river, some could not attend, but their leaders already had the material to bring them up to date; God willing, we can have them all next time. The weather at the site was pleasant and cloudy, with no rain but pleasant. Check the pictures here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xRaXQXXVEhAAneJiD_ZOX46kvhdmONoi?usp=drive_link

Heitor and Enrique - New Project

These past three months have seen Pastor Heitor and Pastor Enrique go to communities in Cocle, the Atlantic side of Veraguas, the coast, and Arraijan to do evangelism-discipleship training with the purpose of starting new churches or strengthening existing ones. In all of them, the same need for workers is evident; this is opening doors to consider starting a new Bible institute run by alumni from previous Institutes.

The primary need to carry this project is supporters willing to partner in this project. Please pray about this opportunity.

Simon and the Kid’s ministry

“Children and Children's ministry in churches are the most neglected. If we can envision the future of God’s Kingdom in them, we will do everything to reach, equip, and train them to a future with godly purposes in their life.”

This is Pastor Simon’s and his family's heartbeat as they reach out to kids in the Ngobe Reservation and beyond by equipping church Sunday School teachers to look beyond the four walls.

He dreams that every kid will have the opportunity to hear the best story ever told and make wise decisions for Jesus. Keep them in prayers as they serve.

Mateo - House of Prayer in Tula

The work that started in 2000 in Chiriqui Grande on the road to Kankintu has given much fruit for God’s glory.

Seven churches have been planted, and from these areas, four Houses of Prayer have been built, and the fifth one is under construction.

As a ministry, nothing is built until the Body of Christ in the area is aware that they are the Church and not the building. The material used is local; the church has to choose the trees, chop them, let the wood dry, and then carry them to the building place; it requires manpower to do this. They learn to love and care for what our Lord provides. That is the case of the House of Prayer in Tula.
