“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
Hacha Mission Report (June 11-17, 2026)
We are grateful to the Lord for His faithfulness during our recent mission trip to Hacha.
Although the rainy season has brought constant rainfall throughout the region, God blessed us with favorable weather as we traveled into the community, throughout our days of ministry, and on our return.
One of the greatest encouragements was seeing how years of faithful presence are beginning to bear fruit. Ministry in remote communities has often been like a steady drop of water falling on a rock. The results are not always immediate, but over time, God works in the hearts and transforms communities.
Hacha is one of those places, and today a small group of believers gathers regularly to study God’s Word under Bernabé’s leadership. We are encouraged to see clear signs of growth as the Lord continues His work in this community.
During the trip, Bibles were distributed, families were prayed for, and the Gospel was shared in every home visited.
Summary of Impact:
Home visited: 18
People reached with the Gospel: 110
Children in ministry activities: 30
Men’s Bible Study in Hacha: Average of 8 daily
Men’s Bible Study in Suiche: 6 participants
Evening Worship Attendances: 40 - 45 each night
Professions of faith: 5
Bernabé continues to serve in remote communities where churches have not yet been established or where the Christian presence needs strengthening. He is currently focused on Hacha, providing pastoral care, discipleship, and biblical teaching, while training local leaders who can eventually assume the church's spiritual leadership.
Looking Ahead to Switche
This coming week (July 1-8), we will hike to Switche, a community located approximately a two-hour walk from the nearest point accessible by vehicle. There, we will encourage a small group of believers and begin the same process of discipleship and church strengthening that is already bearing fruit in Hacha.
Cinthia and little Liah will join the team on this trip, making it Liah's very first mission journey. We are excited about this. Due to ongoing knee problems and the demanding terrain, Talsidia will not be able to accompany the team this time.
Prayer Requests
Spiritual growth among the believers in Hacha.
Wisdom and strength for Bernabé.
Spiritual fruit in Switche.
Protection, safety, and favorable weather for the team.
New opportunities to share the Gospel.
